WWE News: The reason The Undertaker had to undergo hip surgery
It was reported a couple of months before that The Undertaker was spotted using crutches. It was then revealed that he had hip surgery at the time, which led to many believing that his future in the WWE is uncertain. According to Cage Side Seats, The Undertaker underwent hip surgery in order to ensure he appears more regularly on Smackdown Live.
The Undertaker returned to Smackdown Live 900 to issue a warning to the Smackdown Live Survivor Series team and ensuring that he will no longer be defined by WrestleMania:

The Undertaker has sustained several injuries over the course of his career, and there are likely more parts of his body that require medical attention. However, it seems like he will focus on that only after his career finishes.
Rumour has it that his upcoming run with the WWE will indeed be his last. He is highly likely to play a huge role in the Royal Rumble as WWE wants him to be Champion. The two options for the Rumble would be to either have him face AJ Styles (or whoever the champion is at the time) for the WWE World Championship or participate in the Royal Rumble match itself.
The latter option would undoubtedly help add some star power to the Rumble which already features Goldberg. Some of the potential participants for the Rumble include Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, John Cena, Chris Jericho, and more.
This would undoubtedly make it the second most star-studded Royal Rumble of all time, if not the most (second only behind Royal Rumble 1992 that was won by Ric Flair).
Regardless, all roads will lead to the end of his mythical career at Wrestlemania 33, whether it is against John Cena, AJ Styles, or anyone else. Who would you like to see The Phenom face to end his career?
