WWE News: Rey Mysterio announced for SmackDown match next week
What's the story?
Rey Mysterio has been one of the most featured superstars on SmackDown Live, ever since he made his return to television at SmackDown 1000. He has a chance to set the stage on fire when he takes on a fellow Latino superstar.
Rey Mysterio will face Andrade 'Cien' Almas on next week's show. Thank you to WWE.com for the heads up.
In case you didn't know...
Rey Mysterio teamed up with Mustafa Ali to take on Andrade 'Cien' Almas and Samoa Joe on last week's show. The four men put on a clinic and the heels won the contest.
The match was won by Almas who pinned Rey Mysterio with his signature Hammerlock DDT. This was probably the reason the match was set up between the two talented superstars. Both men need a win desperately based on how things stand.
The heart of the matter
This was the official announcement that WWE.com made:
Rey Mysterio and Andrade 'Cien' Almas have absolutely torn the house down in their previous encounters, and the two quick-as-lightning Superstars are set to do it again. Mysterio and Almas’ prior battles include a singles match from Nov. 6 and a tag team bout last week, and the two dynamic Superstars have produced instant classics each time, with the WWE Universe lauding them for their incredible athleticism. Which Superstar will come out on top this time around? Find out this Tuesday night on SmackDown LIVE.
Neither man is currently in any title picture right now, but chances are that whoever wins this match could potentially become a top contender for the WWE or United States Championship. Mysterio is a legend and Almas is one of the company's fastest rising talents.
