WWE News: Ric Flair issues statement after leaving the hospital
What’s the story?
Ric Flair has been discharged from the hospital after 7 days. The WWE legend was rushed to the hospital last week after experiencing a medical emergency.
The 16-time WWE champion was seen heading out of the hospital earlier today, wearing a t-shirt of...Ric Flair himself! His wife, Wendy Barlow accompanied the 70-year-old, and he took to Twitter to issue a statement later on.
In case you didn’t know…
Ric Flair has had a couple of heart issues in recent months and has undergone several procedures. The 70-year-old was taken to the hospital for another one last week, but the doctors had to postpone it because of some complications.
However, they went ahead with the operation on Monday, and he is now discharged – just 48 hours after the surgery.
Due to this unfortunate incident, Flair has cancelled his appearance at Starrcast. The legend was set to be roasted at the event but will not be making an appearance due to his surgery.
The heart of the matter
Ric Flair was all smiles as he made his way out of the hospital on a wheelchair. The WWE legend was accompanied by his wife and then took to Twitter to send a message to his fans. He tweeted:

“He just keeps fighting man! Nothing can take Ric Flair down! Just always be Ric Flair. You're the best. No one's better. You're the G.O.A.T. Keep fighting. Keep doing well.”
