WWE News: Ric Flair scheduled to have serious surgery
What's the story?
Wrestling Legend and WWE Hall of Famer, Ric Flair, is set to go into surgery again, according to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
F4WOnline (H/T NoDQ) reported that the 69-year-old is set to go into surgery again for a 'significant' surgery. Flair's surgery is set to take place on the 9th of July, in order to remove his colostomy bag.
In case you didn't know...
Flair has suffered from medical issues that he had been dealing with since last year, when he had surgery in Georgia, to remove an obstructive piece of his bowel. His condition was serious and led to further complications, including kidney failure. He had to have dialysis and undergo further treatments, after which he was released to his home for rehabilitation.
Recently, Flair was seen on WWE television on separate occasions, but most memorably when he came out to congratulate his daughter, Charlotte Flair, on her winning the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship.
The heart of the matter
Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline reported that Flair was scheduled to have surgery on the 9th of July in order to remove his colostomy bag. Flair started to use the bag after the health issues he suffered last year.
The surgery is considered to be significant, but it is required so that Flair will be able to undertake the physical training that he wants. Until the surgery, such training is impossible.
What's next?
The surgery is slated to take place on the 9th of July. As of this moment, it is impossible to say whether Flair will appear on WWE television again soon.
Author's take
The Nature Boy has suffered from several health problems in the past and has come out on top. He will hopefully recover from this surgery soon as well so that he can go back to the sort of life that he wants to live.
