WWE News: Ric Flair's first public appearance since hospitalisation
What's the story?
In some great news for fans of WWE and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, the legendary wrestler made his first appearance in public since he was hospitalised.
Flair, along with fiance, Wendy Barlow, made an appearance at the Riverside Military Academy, looking healthy and 'suited and booted'.
In case you didn't know...
Flair, a 16-time world champion, and one of the greatest, if not the greatest wrestler in the business, was hospitalised and a part of his bowel was removed.
The surgery led to several complications, including kidney failure, and many fans and the wrestling community feared the worst.
He was put into a medically-induced coma after his surgery but has recovered and now looks healthy, although still very frail.
The heart of the matter
Flair's Twitter account has kept fans informed about his progress and in the past week or so there have been several tweets that have shown his rapid progress.
In one of the latest tweets, Flair is seen with his fiance at the Riverside Military Academy, posing with the students of the school. "The Nature Boy" looked dapper as ever in his immaculate suit!
Just a few days ago, Flair posted a picture of legendary basketball player Charles Barkley visiting him in hospital.
What's next?
"Naitcha' Boy" seems to be out of the woods and is on the road to recovery, but it's too early to talk about a return to a WWE ring for Flair.
Author's Take
Flair's upturn in health is nothing but miraculous, and we as wrestling fans are very glad that he's back looking healthy, and like "Slick Ric" of old!
