WWE News: Ricochet opens up about the exhilaration of joining WWE
What’s the story?
WWE’s newest signee Trevor ‘Ricochet’ Mann recently took part in a short interview with WWE.com, where the former New Japan Pro Wrestling star discussed the excitement of joining WWE and his transition over to the Performance Center.
In case you didn’t know…
Last week, WWE confirmed the signings of three of the top independent wrestlers, Raymond Rowe and Warbeard Hanson—collectively known as War Machine, former PWG Tag Team Champion Candice LeRae, and former IWGP Jr. Tag Team Champion and one of the best high flying wrestlers on the planet today, Ricochet.
The heart of the matter
While speaking to WWE.com in an exclusive interview, Ricochet stated that he never actually thought that he would make it to the WWE due to various attributes such as his size and his stature. He said that him finally making it to the world’s biggest wrestling promotion means the world to him.
He said that hard work and dedication can get you anywhere you want to go.
The former PWG World Champion also believes that he is a unique wrestler because of his capabilities of getting going in the ring with any kind of opponent. Furthermore, Ricochet also talked about his struggles and how he started from the bottom and worked his way to the top.
The 29-year-old then added that he is excited about growing as an all-round performer while training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
What’s next?
While Ricochet still trains at the WWE Performance Center, it will be exciting to see who he would feud in NXT. WWE has also recently teased a rivalry between The Street Profits and Ricochet, however, only time will tell how this story unfolds and what’s next for the athletic Superstar.
Author’s Take
I believe the WWE Universe is in for a treat, now that Ricochet has finally signed with the WWE. The former NJPW Best of Super Juniors winner will look to seize every opportunity that comes his way and will look to make a huge impact in NXT.
