WWE News: Seth Rollins uses a previously banned move

It would be interesting to see whether this a one time off

Former WWE World heavyweight champion Seth Rollins recently used a wrestling move which hasn't been used in a WWE ring for more than 15 years -reports Dailywrestlingnews.

Rollins was part of a WWE Live Event in Jackson, Mississippi on 11th June. He headlined the show along with AJ Styles and Roman Reigns in a triple threat match. During the match, he hit AJ Styles with a ‘Vertebreaker’, a moved which was banned by WWE for being too dangerous. It was originally used by Shane “Hurricane” Helms. The news broke after a fan posted a video of this on his Instagram account.

The match was later won by Roman Reigns after he hit AJ Styles with a spear. It was said that this was the best match of the night. Other matches on the Live Event include Charlotte vs Natalya and Cesaro vs Alberto Del Rio.

It is notable that this is not the first time that Rollins has been involved in a controversy due to his wrestling moves. Last year, WWE reportedly stopped Rollins from using his regular finisher Curb-Stomp because it was too dangerous and impressionable to kids. No words yet on if he took the approval from WWE officials to use the maneuver.
