WWE News: Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman break character

These rivals posed for a photograph together

What’s the story?

WWE Superstar Titus O’Neil has posted an interesting photograph on his official social media account where Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman have been pictured together, posing for photographs in Italy.

In case you didn’t know...

Since WWE’s Fastlane PPV earlier this year, Roman Reigns (Leati Joseph Anoa’i) and Braun Strowman (Adam Scherr) have been involved in what’s being touted as one of the most violent and physical showdowns in recent WWE history.

The Reigns-Strowman feud has seen both wrestlers dish out a tonne of punishment on each other, including the latter’s assault on Roman that involved The Monster Among Men flipping over an ambulance that had The Big Dog inside it.

The heart of the matter

In their most recent encounter, Strowman defeated Reigns and would go on to attack the latter following their match at WWE Payback. After the PPV went off the air, Braun would reportedly ambush Reigns near an ambulance, but miss an attempted charge and run into the ambulance door instead.

Reigns would then go on to attack Strowman, using the left side of the ambulance door to smash the Monster, giving the big man a torn rotator cuff in the process. It’s essential to note that although the WWE has revealed that both fighters have suffered injuries, the photographs circulating on social media seem to contradict that very fact.

The WWE is presently on a Europe tour that runs throughout mid-May, with the RAW roster arriving on May 2nd for a live show in Rome, and the SmackDown roster on May 3rd

What’s next?

Reigns and Strowman will reportedly continue their on-screen feud in the days to come, clashing in the upcoming episodes of Monday Night RAW, with their rivalry culminating at WWE Extreme Rules on June 4th.

Author’s take

How about that? Rome n’ Reigns folks…sorry, couldn’t help it! Truth be told- in this day and age, where the internet is king, maintaining kayfabe has become increasingly difficult.

That said, fans out there needn’t fret over the Reigns-Strowman feud going sour anytime soon. Just because the two powerhouses pose together, it doesn’t mean that come fight-night they won’t be at it again- fighting like cats and dogs.

Pro-wrestling folks!
