WWE News: Roman Reigns praises Seth Rollins for his historic performance on Raw
What’s the story?
On this week’s episode of Raw, Roman Reigns’ Shield brethren Seth Rollins put up one of the most amazing performances in the history of Monday Night Raw when “The Architect” lasted over one hour in a seven men Gauntlet Match which included all the competitors from this year’s Men’s Elimination Chamber match.
Following Rollins’ historic performance, his fellow Shield stablemate Roman Reigns took it to the social media in order to give his take on “The Kingslayer’s” amazing show of heart throughout the Gauntlet Match.
In case you didn’t know…
During this week’s Raw Gauntlet Match, former WWE Tag Team Champions and Shield members Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns kicked things off by squaring off in the first match of the evening. Both Rollins and Reigns have previously faced off against each other on several occasions and this week on Raw the two former World Champions went at it once again as Rollins successfully managed to defeat Reigns via a roll-up pin.
Following Reigns’ elimination from the bout, Seth Rollins had the task of overcoming the 16-time World Champion John Cena, who much like “The Big Dog” also failed to defeat Rollins when “The Architect” hit the Curb Stomp on the leader of The Cenation for the three count and in order to gain his second victory of the evening. Rollins was eventually eliminated from the Gauntlet Match by Elias, who managed to hit the Drift Away on “The Kingslayer”.
The heart of the matter
Following Seth Rollins’ impressive performance on Raw, “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns took it to his official Twitter handle and had nothing but respect and admiration towards his Shield stablemate who lasted for a total of one hour and five minutes during this week’s Raw Gauntlet Match.
In a recent tweet, Reigns quoted that 'you live to fight another day' and showed immense respect towards Seth Rollins for going over an hour in the ring on, however, “The Big Dog” additionally claimed that come February 28th it will be him who goes the distance inside the gruesome Elimination Chamber and eventually to the main event of Wrestlemania 34.
What’s next?
The Elimination Chamber PPV will take place this Sunday in Las Vegas, Nevada at the T-Mobile Arena, during which we will witness the first ever 7-man Elimination Chamber match.
Author’s Take
I believe that at Elimination Chamber, it will indeed be Roman Reigns who is going stand out last six other men and win the Chamber match in order to challenge “The Beast” Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title.
