WWE News: Roman Reigns reveals whom he would like to face at next year's WrestleMania
What’s the story?
Former WWE Champion Roman Reigns was recently interviewed by WWE.com’s Spanish section and while promotion WWE’s upcoming live events in Spain, The Big Dog also revealed whom he would like to square-off against next year at WrestleMania.
In case you didn’t know…
Reigns has been WWE’s poster boy for the past couple of years now and the WWE Grand Slam Champion has already main-evented four WrestleManias in a row, from the beginning of ‘Mania 31.
As noted, at ‘Mania 31, Reigns went toe-to-toe with ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar, which was followed up by the main event against Triple H at WrestleMania 32, and at ‘Mania 33, Reigns successfully defeated The Undertaker.
Earlier this month, Roman Reigns once again competed in the main event WrestleMania, however, this time he was unable to come out on the winning side when The Beast Incarnate retained the Universal Championship against The Big Dog in a gruelling battle.
The heart of the matter
During the interview, Reigns was seemingly asked that having previously faced-off against the likes of John Cena, The Undertaker, and Lesnar, which current superstar from the active WWE roster is Reigns currently looking to pick a fight against.
Reigns noted, that the last few years of his career have been a roller coaster of sensations, but, as of right now, if there’s any particular superstar whom Reigns would like to go toe-to-toe against then it is non-other than the recently cleared Daniel Bryan.
"It's difficult. The last few years have been a roller coaster of sensations, a great opportunity, but I think I'd like to face Daniel Bryan again. I do not see much of the talents of SmackDown, but I know that he has a medical discharge and that if his health respects him it could be a great match for next year at WrestleMania.”
However, furthermore, Reigns also claimed that the second option he currently has in his mind would be a rematch between him and his Shield brethren Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins and another triple threat between the three of them will be a great contest as well.
“Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns. But if it can not be, then I'd like to face the rest of The Shield, Seth, and Dean again, I think it would be great too".
What’s next?
Reigns will get another shot at the WWE Universal Title at this weekend’s Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia when he steps into the ring with Lesnar yet again.
Author’s Take
A WrestleMania match between Reigns vs Bryan would definitely be off the cards and the idea of another Shield triple threat at ‘Mania doesn’t sound bad either.
