WWE News: Roman Reigns sends out a harsh message to Samoa Joe
What's the story?
Roman Reigns-- who failed to capture the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania 34 against Brock Lesnar-- had some harsh words for another his rival, Samoa Joe, during his entrance at the WWE live event which took place in Cape Town, South Africa.
In case you didn't know...
Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe have crossed paths on multiple occasions and have developed an on-going rivalry. It seemed early on in their feud that Joe had Reigns' number as the Big Dog could not catch a break and was unable to defeat the Samoan Destroyer. However, Reigns did manage to pick up a win against Joe when he successfully defended his IC Championship against Joe.
Joe made his return to WWE after suffering a foot injury when he interrupted Reigns' during a promo and challenged The Big Dog to a match at upcoming PPV: Backlash.
The heart of the matter
Reigns was a part of a triple threat match along with Elias and Braun Stowman at a WWE live event in Cape Town and sent this message to Samoa Joe while making his way to the ring:
What's next?
Roman Reigns is set to battle "The Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship yet again at The Greatest Royal Rumble which will take place in late April in Saudi Arabia.
Joe and Reigns will also be facing each other at Backlash, even though Samoa Joe was transferred to Smackdown in the recent Superstar Shakeup.
Author's take
Joe and Reigns are two of the best performers on the current roster and their matches with each other have never failed to disappoint.
I am looking forward to another one of their encounters at Backlash, which I believe will be the last for a long time to come; I feel Reigns would certainly be going over Joe regardless of whether or not he wins the Universal Championship at GRR.
