WWE News: Roman Reigns suffers head injury at Live Event
What's the story?
WWE is currently on tour in South Africa and while wrestling a match against Samoa Joe, The Big Dog Roman Reigns reportedly suffered a head injury and was unable to greet his fans after the show. We thank RingsideNews for the update.
In case you didn’t know…
Samoa Joe returned to the Raw after WrestleMania 34, after he was out of action with a foot injury since January. Immediately upon his return, Joe confronted Reigns and challenged him for a match at the Backlash PPV.
On the April 18th house show in Cape Town, Roman Reigns took on Elias and Braun Strowman in a Triple Threat match. Reigns won the match after a spear to Elias. The full results can be viewed here. Reigns was set to take on Samoa Joe the next day.
The heart of the matter
On the April 19th Live Event at Cape Town, South Africa, Roman Reigns took on Samoa Joe in the main event. Towards the end of the match, The Big Dog was reportedly bust his head open, with blood pouring down his face. He went on to defeat Joe in the match.
Towards the end of the event, Reigns took the microphone and thanked the fans, saying he had an unbelievable time in South Africa because of them. He went on to explain that he would usually greet the fans and take selfies with them post the show, but wouldn't be able to do so due to the injury he suffered during his match with Joe.

What's next?
Roman Reigns will take on Brock Lesnar in a Steel Cage match for the Universal Championship at the Greatest Royal Rumble event next Friday, April 27th at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Early next month, Reigns will take on Samoa Joe at the Backlash PPV.
Author's take
Reigns doesn't seem to be having the best time with head injuries, as this is the second time he is being busted open this month, after bleeding at the hands of Brock Lesnar at WM 34!
But fortunately, it doesn't seem like the injury was too serious this time, as Reigns was seen talking to the fans after the match. As of this writing, there has been no official word about the injury either.
