WWE News: Roman Reigns suspended
Three-time World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns has been suspended from WWE action.
The news comes through a report on the WWE website, confirming that Reigns has been suspended for 30 days for his first violation of the company’s Wellness Policy.
Somewhat unexpectedly, Reigns lost his World Heavyweight Championship to Seth Rollins on Sunday, who then lost it to Money in the Bank winner Dean Ambrose on a cash-in the same night Ambrose won the briefcase. That might make some venture a guess that he lost the belt because his violation of the policy, usually related to performance-enhancing drugs or other substances.
Reigns responded to the suspension via Twitter.
I apologize to my family, friends and fans for my mistake in violating WWE’s wellness policy. No excuses. I own it.

Reigns was still booked Monday into a Triple Threat match for the world title against Rollins and Ambrose at Battleground, scheduled for July 24. While his suspension would seemingly end before that event, it remains to be seen if he’d still be allowed to compete in such a match, so that would seem to be evidence that the violation was not confirmed as of Monday.
