WWE News: Ronda Rousey gets emotional over fellow Superstar's entrance and responds
What's the story?
WrestleMania can be a very emotionally charged event for everyone involved - WWE Universe and Superstars alike - but it isn't often you see a Superstar getting emotional while watching another Superstar's entrance, and it definitely isn't something you'd expect from Ronda Rousey.
Well, heartwarming footage has emerged of the Baddest Woman on the Planet tearing up while watching Shinsuke Nakamura's entrance rehearsal - which was of course performed by Alice Cooper's guitarist Nita Strauss and a string section.
In case you didn’t know…
Ronda Rousey made plenty of headlines of her own at WrestleMania when she finally debuted in a Mixed Tag Team Match with Kurt Angle against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
After a lengthy build-up since the announcement in January that Rowdy would become a full-time WWE Superstar, all eyes were on the former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion as she stepped into the squared circle for the first time.
Needless to say, if there were any doubters, Rousey won them over with some incredibly impressive in-ring work in what has been described as one of the best WWE debuts of all time.
The heart of the matter
WWE have really taken to posting behind the scenes footage from huge events - and, well, they don't get much bigger than WrestleMania.
After footage from WWE.com's latest peeks behind the curtain was revealed, eagle-eyed fans caught a glimpse of Ronda Rousey watching Shinsuke Nakamura rehearse his entrance and seem to wipe a tear away in a short clip that will no doubt further endear the fan favorite to the WWE Universe.
When one fan took to Twitter to post a gif of Rousey's reaction, the Baddest Woman on the Planet responded.
What's next?
Ronda Rousey's next confirmed appearances for WWE are four European dates at WWE Live events in May, and a special appearance at Madison Square Garden in July.
We did see Rousey on Raw this week, though, and with rumors that her contract is "full-time" and WWE is her priority, don't be surprised if we see her on Raw in the coming weeks.
Author's take
I love this. It's awesome to see Rousey so invested in WWE - so much so that she even got emotional watching someone else's rehearsal entrance. It's really hard to not be rooting for Ronda the more we see of her, and I think she'll be hugely successful in WWE.
