WWE's newest signee and former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, recently spoke with Planeta Wrestling on who she would like to face in the WWE, her favorite WrestleMania moments of all time, and what are the changes she could possibly bring to the Women’s Division in the WWE.
In case you didn’t know…
Mixed Martial Arts veteran Ronda Rousey made her much-awaited WWE debut back in January during the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, where she was involved in an altercation with Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss, SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair, and the winner of the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble match, Asuka.
The heart of the matter
In her interview with Planeta Wrestling, Ronda Rousey spoke about a host of topics, including a list of all her favorite WrestleMania moments. Here are the highlights from her interview:
Ronda Rousey stated that as of right now, all of her focus is towards the current commissioner of Monday Night Raw, that is, Stephanie McMahon and possibly beating the living daylights out of the former WWE Women’s Champion at WrestleMania 34, which is currently the center of Rousey’s whole universe.
“I kind of have blinders on when I'm focused on something. When I'm focused on something that's my whole universe.”
Rousey claimed that during her childhood days, she was a huge fan of the iconic and legendary Hulk Hogan and regarded “The Hulkster” as her wrestling hero. However, the former UFC Bantamweight Champion eventually claimed that till date, WrestleMania 1 remains as her favorite ‘Mania of all time, thanks to the contribution of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan.
"As a kid, I just remember Hulk Hogan being my hero. My family didn't sit down and go, 'Oh, we're going to watch WrestleMania together!' it was just always on. I live in North Dakota, so wrestling is really big out there and it was just on TV. I was too little to understand, 'Oh, this is this event and that's that event.' Now that I'm older, WrestleMania I is, of course, my favorite, Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan. ... That was something that I grew to appreciate as an adult."
Ronda Rousey stated that as of right now, she wouldn’t look to change any of the amazing work that the women of WWE have been doing and the overall changes they’ve been able to make in the wrestling industry and also in regards of the outlook of the WWE Women’s Division.
Additionally, Rousey said, that she considers herself as a catalyst and her job in the WWE is to speed the process up and to make sure the hard work that they've been doing is seen and appreciated by more people.
What’s next?
Ronda Rousey is currently slated to make her WWE in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34 when she steps into the squared circle to compete in a mixed tag match against the duo of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Ronda Rousey, in my opinion, is one of the pioneers of Women’s revolution in the entire world and her influence in the WWE is certainly going to be vital.
