WWE News: Ronda Rousey set for a historic entrance at WrestleMania 35
What's the story?
Raw Women's Champion, Ronda Rousey is all set to make her second WrestleMania appearance this year, as the former UFC Champion prepares to defend her title in the first-ever women's 'Mania main event.
With Rousey set for a historic title match at WrestleMania, WWE has announced that Rock N' Roll icon Joan Jett will conduct a special performance at The Grandest Stage of Them All.
In case you didn't know...
UFC Hall of Famer, Ronda Rousey made her WWE in-ring debut at last year's WrestleMania 34 pay-per-view in a Mixed Tag Team Match when she teamed up with Kurt Angle and defeated the duo of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in an explosive tag match.
Rousey, since then, has gone on to capture the Raw Women's Title and has already defeated the likes of Alexa Bliss, Nikki Bella, and Nia Jax on the main roster.
The heart of the matter
With Ronda Rousey set for a historic defense of the Raw Women's Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 35 against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, WWE has officially confirmed that Rock icon Joan Jett is set to accompany 'The Baddest Woman On The Planet' for a special entrance in New Jersey.
'The Queen of Rock 'N Roll' will be performing a live rendition of her popular song Bad Reputation, which is also being used by Rousey as her entrance theme music. Rousey has been using the Bad Reputation song since she started out in the UFC and eventually made her way to the top of the promotion, winning the Bantamweight Title as well.
Having Joan Jett perform at WWE's biggest annual show will truly be a spectacle to look forward to and definitely will go down as one of the greatest WrestleMania performances of all time.
What's next?
WrestleMania 35 takes place on the 7th of April, 2019 and the main event of the show will feature Ronda Rousey defending her Raw Women's Championship against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat Match.
