WWE News Roundup - Dominik Mysterio caught making a big mistake involving Liv Morgan, Kevin Owens refuses potentially facing 'terryfying' tag team
We are back with another exciting edition of WWE News Roundup where we discuss the biggest developments over the past week. Today's list looks at an interesting twist in the most scandalous storyline, Kevin Owens' honest opinion on top RAW stars, and a huge name being replaced in the Money in the Bank qualifier match.
Here, we look at the top stories that have dominated the WWE headlines over the last twenty-four hours. So, without further ado, let's begin.
#1. Dominik Mysterio "folds" for Liv Morgan
Liv Morgan has spent the last few weeks aggressively flirting with Dominik Mysterio on WWE RAW, repeatedly orchestrating close moments with The Judgment Day star. Most recently, she stole Dom's Purple Cow vest on RAW this week and shared pictures wearing it on social media, stating she was thinking about him.
Dominik responded to the post with a now-deleted GIF which had a clip of Dwight Schrute from "The Office" series folding during a poker game. The response was widely dubbed as Dominik "folding" for Morgan but he promptly deleted his reply. Although Dominik has denied a potential affair with Morgan, there are hints signaling the same and fans are worried about how angry Rhea Ripley will be when she comes back.
#2. Kevin Owens heaps praise for Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark
Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark are carving their way to the top of the WWE Women's Tag Team division. Most recently, they challenged Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair for the tag team gold at Clash at the Castle in a triple-threat match which ended with The Unholy Union becoming the new champions.
Kevin Owens was discussing the matches booked for the recently concluded premium live event when he described Baszler and Stark as terrifying. KO expressed his relief over never having to step inside the ring against Baszler and Stark, and said,
"They are both pretty terrifying. I’m glad I don’t ever have to get in the ring with them."
KO did not compete at Clahs at the Castle but he made an appearance on the show alongside Randy Orton. Owens and The Viper rushed to Cody Rhodes' aid after Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline attacked the champion following his title match. KO will be in action on WWE SmackDown tonight as he is set to lock horns with Grayson Waller and Andrade in the Money in the Bank qualifier match.
#3. Top WWE Superstar replaced in Money in the Bank qualifier
The latest edition of Monday Night RAW was one that Chad Gable would like to forget. First, the rest of The Alpha Academy -- Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Toazawa walked out on him. Then, the closing moments of the show saw him among those attacked backstage by The Wyatt Sicks when the stable made their stunning debut on the red brand.
Gable was the most prominent victim of the massacre laid backstage by the Uncle Howdy-led faction. He was scheduled to compete in the Money in the Bank qualifier match against Braun Strowman and Bronson Reed on RAW next week. however, WWE has confirmed that Gable will be replaced in the match by Ilja Dragunov. As for The Alpha Academy member, there has been no concrete update on his status since the brutal attack.
