WWE News Roundup: Female star refusing to return; Huge name will end Roman Reigns' historic run, as per veteran; Alexa Bliss sends a message
Welcome to the latest edition of WWE News Roundup. In today's piece, we'll look at topics about Roman Reigns and Alexa Bliss, among other significant names.
Roman Reigns has been at the top of WWE for over three years. During this time, he has taken down a plethora of names, begging the question of who can stop him. Wrestling veteran Eric Bischoff believes that a huge name will name the Tribal Chief's historic run.
In other news, a female star who has been absent from TV programming for a long time has stated that she has no intentions of returning. Let's find out the name and more in today's news roundup.
#3. Eric Bischoff believes Cody Rhodes will end Roman Reigns' run in WWE
Cody Rhodes came closest to usurping Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, but he was stopped in his tracks by Solo Sikoa. While the American Nightmare has been kept off the Tribal Chief's path since then, Eric Bischoff predicted that the former will be the one to eventually dethrone Reigns:
"I suspect that's about the time that you're gonna see a renewed emphasis on The Bloodline storyline. And I think going into that Bloodline storyline, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns will become a more prominent part of the storytelling. And ultimately that's what I expect to see, I hope to see at WrestleMania, I don't have any inside information but that's what I think will happen, and I hope and I think that Cody Rhodes will come out victorious and that will be the end of the Cody Rhodes journey as it relates to his return to WWE."
Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns came face-to-face on SmackDown a couple of weeks back. While the duo did not exchange any words, the staredown between them got the fans hyped for the potential showdown.
#2. Cora Jade refuses to return to TV programming
Cora Jade has quickly risen to prominence in WWE since signing a deal in 2021. However, the star has been missing from TV programming since losing to Dana Brooke in July.
The 22-year-old recently asked fans to stop asking her about her return to NXT, noting that it sucks there and she is better than everyone.
Although it's quite clear that Cora's absence is due to storyline purposes, there is still no definitive news on her return.
#1. Alexa Bliss sends a message to Charlotte Flair
Alexa Bliss has been on the sidelines since Royal Rumble earlier this year. Amid her hiatus, the former RAW Women's Champion had an interesting interaction with Charlotte Flair on social media regarding the infamous doll Charly which Bliss gifted to the Queen during their rivalry.
Alexa Bliss is expected to welcome her first child in December this year. She will then start preparing for her in-ring return.
