WWE News Roundup: Former world champion ready to make peace with Roman Reigns and join his team; new Bloodline member

Welcome to the latest edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's WWE News Roundup, where we bring you the biggest stories of the day in the world of wrestling. Today the stories are mostly about WarGames!

With Survivor Series approaching, the build to the Bloodline WarGames Match is heating up. An old rival of Roman Reigns' has hinted at joining his team. Meanwhile, another top WWE star has spoken about a dream match against The OTC.

We also have an update on Brock Lesnar, along with confirmation of The Bloodline's newest member. So, without further ado, let's get into today's stories.

#1. Bronson Reed is part of The Bloodline

Bronson Reed is the fifth member of the new Bloodline's WarGames team, but that alone doesn't make him an official member of the faction. The Australian could very easily dissociate himself from them after Survivor Series, but that seems unlikely.

According to WrestleVotes on a Live Q&A with Bill Apter on Backstage Pass, Reed seems to have joined The Bloodline as a permanent member. This is based on the way WWE presented the alliance, with the 36-year-old star throwing up 'the ones' along with the rest of Solo Sikoa's group:

"Yeah, with the way that they have presented it over the last week, they said he’s joined The Bloodline, he’s throwing up the ones… The way it’s being presented, it certainly looks like he’s there for the long-term," reported WrestleVotes.

#2. CM Punk on who he would like to face in WWE

Amid his current WWE hiatus, CM Punk was asked a bunch of questions by Peter Rosenberg for his Cheap Heat podcast at ComplexCon. The Best in the World spoke about who he wants to work with.

Punk stated he would like to wrestle the likes of Gunther and Chad Gable, before mentioning some of the bigger matches he can have. The former AEW star is excited to come face to face with Roman Reigns, over a decade after their last match, while also mentioning Cody Rhodes and The Rock:

"Then you talk about the money stuff, you talk about the marquee stuff. You talk about what is the match you could see main eventing a pay-per-view. That’s what gets my juices flowing. I think whenever myself and Roman Reigns are face-to-face on television, I think that’s gonna be a moment. The table is set for myself and Cody. You also never know when The Rock is gonna come back," said CM Punk.

It isn't known when exactly CM Punk will return to WWE. But once he does, The Second City Saint has a lot of big matches to look forward to.

#3. Brock Lesnar update

Brock Lesnar hasn't been seen in WWE since losing to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023. The Beast Incarnate's most recent return earlier this year was canceled due to him allegedly being implicated in Janel Grant's lawsuit against Vince McMahon.

Despite that, there has constantly been speculation over Lesnar's WWE return. The latest update on him suggests he won't be back anytime soon. WrestleVotes revealed this on the Live Q&A on Backstage Pass.

It seems like Brock Lesnar will only come back once he is cleared by WWE's legal team.

#4. Braun Strowman is open to joining Team Roman Reigns

While Bronson Reed is now part of the new Bloodline, Roman Reigns' crew is scrambling to find a fifth member. One of The OTC's former rivals has revealed he is open to joining his WarGames team.

Fresh off his in-ring return, Braun Strowman tweeted that there are a few people who could use his help. USA Network's official X handle replied to the former Universal Champion, asking whether he would team with Reigns. Strowman seems ready, stating "enemies can become friends."

It will be interesting to see if Roman Reigns turns to his old rival for help, especially after Seth Rollins rejected the OG Bloodline's offer on RAW.
