WWE News Roundup: Legend's health "has really gotten bad," Becky Lynch's career is finished? CM Punk announced for upcoming show

Welcome to another edition of our WWE News Roundup. In today's piece, we will look at stories revolving around Becky Lynch and CM Punk, among others.

We also have a worrying update on a legend's health, plus we will take a look at what went down on RAW last night. So without any further delay, let's begin:

#4. WWE RAW results

Things are heating up on the red brand as we inch closer to the Survivor Series: WarGames PLE. Last night, we saw tensions escalate between Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor. The Bloodline members and the OGs also tried to recruit the fifth person for their respective teams for the WarGames Match, while there was also a heated exchange between Gunther and Damian Priest.

In addition to the above, there was also a major comeback on the show as Dakota Kai returned to in-ring action.

Here are the complete results from the show:

  • Damage CTRL def. Pure Fusion Collective
  • Pete Dunne def. Kofi Kingston
  • Damian Priest def. Ludwig Kaiser
  • Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill def. Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez to retain the Women's Tag Team Championship

#3. Becky Lynch may have retired, as per backstage analyst

Becky Lynch has been away from the squared circle since her loss to Liv Morgan in a Steel Cage Match on RAW on May 27, 2024. Her contract expired in June 2024.

Meanwhile, reigning Women's World Champion Liv Morgan has claimed multiple times that The Man is now retired. However, we have not heard from Lynch herself on the situation.

In a recent edition of his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts addressed Becky's status, noting that she might have possibly retired. However, he expected the Irish star to return to action ''sooner rather than later!''

"Think about how much bigger this division is going to get in very short order, right? Already, hypothetically, to come back at some point, you got Becky Lynch, who is out right now but has never said she's retired from wrestling. Now look, maybe she is, but realistically, I think there's a good chance that she'll be back in WWE sooner rather than later," Roberts said.

#2. Worrying update on WWE legend's health

Dutch Mantell's health has been a cause of worry among the wrestling world. In a recent edition of the ARN podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson provided an update on the situation, noting that Mantell's condition ''has gotten really bad!''

I think this bad health thing has really gotten bad. He's been in and out of the hospital. I'm not sure if I can verify this, but his wife had been in the hospital. So, man, they're going through some tough times, and we need to all be praying for him, that's for sure," he said.

Dutch's daughter recently started a GoFundMe for his medical bill as his hospital insurance had reached its limit. The former WWE manager also requested fans to help him out.

#1. CM Punk announced for an upcoming show

CM Punk took a hiatus shortly after defeating Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell Match at Bad Blood. While there is no confirmation on his return date, The Best in The World has been advertised for the Madison Square Garden live event on December 26.

Many expected Punk to return on the Road to Survivor Series: WarGames to build a feud with Gunther. However, The Ring General will defend his World Heavyweight Title against Damian Priest at WWE's upcoming premium live event.
