WWE News Roundup: Major star allegedly lost championship as a punishment from Triple H, veteran's message to Rhea Ripley, Roman Reigns acknowledged
We are back with yet another edition of our daily WWE News Roundup where we try our best to cover all the exciting stories making rounds in the world of pro wrestling. In today's piece, we will look at topics revolving around big stars like Roman Reigns and Rhea Ripley, among others.
Also, a veteran has alleged that a major name lost their championship as a punishment from Triple H. So let's check it out and more without any further delay:
#1. The Rock speaks on his future
It was recently reported that The Rock is unlikely to work at WrestleMania 41 due to a crammed work schedule. However, The Final Boss straight up denied the rumors, asking fans to not believe any such reports.
The Rock returned to WWE at Bad Blood where he had a staredown with Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and Cody Rhodes. The Hollywood star is expected to feud with Cody and Roman on The Road to WrestleMania 41.
#2. Vince Russo believes Bron Breakker lost the Intercontinental Championship as a punishment
Bron Breakker's Intercontinental Championship reign came to an end after just 51 days when the second-generation star lost the title to Jey Uso. While many are shocked by Triple H's booking decision, wrestling veteran Vince Russo stated that Breakker must have caused a problem backstage and thus lost the title as a punishment:
"Bron Breakker losing to Jey Uso, no doubt, bro, Bron did something backstage where that was a punishment because there's no way in their right minds if they had a clue to anything they were doing, that they would have taken that belt off of him unless that was a disciplinary action to put him in his place because that made zero sense," he said.
Bron Breakker teased a babyface turn after dropping the title. However, he once again turned heel on RAW this past Monday as he attacked Jey Uso after his title match against Xavier Woods.
#3. Real-life Bloodline member acknowledges Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns was present on SmackDown this Friday after making his in-ring return at Bad Blood. The OTC asked the fans to acknowledge Jimmy Uso, following which the latter reminded him that he was the only one standing beside him. However, that may not be true as Lance Anoa'i acknowledged Reigns while sharing the clip of the segment on Instagram.
Lance was last seen on WWE programming in 2019 when he faced Shane McMahon in a singles match. The real-life Bloodline member was attacked by Drew McIntyre after the match, with Roman Reigns making the save.
#4. WWE veteran sends a message to Rhea Ripley
Rhea Ripley recently celebrated her 28th birthday. She received heartfelt messages from many notable names in the pro wrestling industry. However, The Boogeyman wished Mami happy birthday in his typical faction. The WWE veteran also posted a picture with the former Women's World Champion.
Rhea Ripley also received messages from Bianca Belair, Adam Pearce, Buddy Matthews, and Damian Priest, among others.
