WWE News Roundup: Major superstar will never return to in-ring competition due to health issues, Veteran on Becky Lynch, Roman Reigns' return

Welcome to another edition of WWE News Roundup. In today's piece, we will cover topics around Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns, among others.

Also, a two-time champion has revealed that he won't be returning to in-ring competition due to health issues. So without further ado, let's begin:

#1. WWE RAW Results

The buildup to SummerSlam continued on RAW last night as the match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre was made official for the Biggest Party of the Summer. We also saw Dominik Mysterio choose Rhea Ripley over Liv Morgan in the ongoing love triangle storyline.

Here are the complete results from the show:

  • Bron Breakker def. Ilja Dragunov by referee stoppage
  • Sonya Deville def. Lyra Valkyria
  • The Final Testament def. The Alpha Academy & Xavier Woods
  • Zelina Vega def. Zoey Stark
  • Sami Zayn & Jey Uso def. Judgment Day

#2. Veteran says Becky Lynch should be upset after WWE RAW

Becky Lynch has stayed off the wrestling radar since putting over Liv Morgan. The latter has been involved in a love triangle storyline with Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley since winning the Women's World Championship and Vince Russo believes this must infuriate The Man:

"If I am Becky Lynch, I'm saying why did you have me endorse her if you're gonna do absolutely nothing with her? That brings down my brand, that brings down my brand."

Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley will get a chance to settle their business inside the squared circle at SummerSlam where they will clash for the Women's World Championship.

#3. Two-time WWE Champion says he won't be returning to in-ring action

Over the years, we have seen many retired stars return to action for sporadic matches. However, the same can't be expected for Sid Vicious (aka Psycho Sid) who recently made it clear that he won't be donning wrestling boots ever again.

The two-time WWE Champion mentioned health issues as the primary reason:

"[Is there a chance we can expect a wrestling return?] No, I'm 63 years old. I had that fracture in 2000 and I've been going through that. Causes a lot of other problems like your other knee and stuff like that and I just couldn't do it. Even if, you know, they were to offer me say to come back and do some manager position, something like that, I just don't know, sort of I don't know if I could do it," he said.

Sid was a major name in the pro wrestling industry in the 1990s. He wrestled the last match of his career in 2017.

#4. Roman Reigns could return at SummerSlam, according to Analyst Sam Roberts

Roman Reigns has been away from the squared circle since dropping the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.

However, wrestling analyst Sam Roberts believes that The Tribal Chief could return at SummerSlam:

"Man, can you imagine if Brock [Lesnar] were to join the new Bloodline? No, I think that would probably be too much right now. I think it'll be Roman [Reigns] that comes back at SummerSlam, Not Brock," Roberts said.

Solo Sikoa has taken over the Bloodline in Roman Reigns' absence. He will face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam. Many expect the Tribal Chief to return after the main event.
