WWE News Roundup: Major superstar will never wrestle again following career-ending health condition? AJ Styles throwback picture, Asuka's latest post

Welcome back to another edition of WWE News Roundup, where we discuss all the top stories making rounds in the world of the pro wrestling juggernaut. In today's piece, we will look at topics revolving around AJ Styles and Asuka, among others.

We will also take a look at an analyst's statement where he noted that he does not see a major superstar returning to in-ring competition due to health issues. So without further delay, let's begin:

#1. WWE RAW results

We are just a few weeks away from RAW's debut on Netflix and the company is pulling out all the stops to make it a memorable event.

CM Punk and Seth Rollins once again came face-to-face on the red brand, following which a match between them was set to take place on January 6.

Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley also continued their feud with Finn Balor and Liv Morgan respectively. While the Archer of Infamy cost Balor the tag titles, Mami had a war of words with Morgan, noting that she is next in line for the Women's World Championship. We also saw confrontations between Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins.

Here are the complete results from the show:

  • Bron Breakker def. Ludwig Kaiser to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship
  • Zoey Stark def. Kayden Carter & Raquel Rodriguez
  • The War Raiders def. The Judgment Day to become the new World Tag Team Champions

#2. Adam Pearce posts throwback photo with AJ Styles

While Adam Pearce may be a WWE official now, he was a renowned wrestler back in the day and has shared the ring with many notable names including Bryan Danielson and Adam Page.

The RAW General Manager recently posted a throwback picture from his wrestling days. The pic also included multiple wrestling legends such as AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Bryan Danielson:

#3. Asuka posts an update

Asuka has been away from WWE programming for the last several months. While she recently posted a picture of herself in a hospital bed a couple of weeks ago, her latest post has shown her training, indicating that she could return to action soon:

The Empress of Tomorrow's last outing in the squared circle came in May when she and Kairi Sane lost the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.

#4. Triple H will never wrestle again?

When it comes to pro wrestling, one can never say never, as many notable names have returned to the squared circle despite career-ending injuries.

However, that is unlikely to be the case with Triple H, who announced his retirement after suffering a serious heart issue.

While the WWE CCO's altercation with Kevin Owens after Saturday Night's Main Event led to speculations of his return, that is unlikely to be the case.

Analyst Sam Roberts also stated the same on his podcast while stating how amazing it was to see him get physical this past Saturday:

"All I can think about is this idea that can you imagine, it's not gonna happen, I don't think it's gonna happen, but Triple H having one last match, and it being against Kevin Owens? Is the Kevin Owens that we saw show up on WWE after being in NXT, answer the John Cena open challenge and pin John Cena on a pay-per-view, fresh off of NXT, this is the same Kevin Owens that brought Stone Cold Steve Austin out of retirement to main event one more WrestleMania against him. John Cena, Stone Cold Steve Austin, adding Triple H to that list. I mean, my god, my god. I don't think it's gonna happen, but it was so crazy to just see hints of it."

Triple H's last match came in 2019 when he teamed up with Shinsuke Nakamura to defeat Robert Roode and Samoa Joe. He announced his retirement in 2021.
