Welcome to another edition of the daily WWE News Roundup, where we aim to bring you the most exciting stories from the world of sports entertainment. Today's edition revolves around top names like former WWE Champion CM Punk, Jey Uso, and Cody Rhodes.

There has been a lot of speculation regarding CM Punk's future since he parted ways with AEW in September. The Second City Saint was fired by Tony Khan for his backstage fight with Jack Perry at All In 2023. There is speculation that Punk could join either WWE or TNA/IMPACT Wrestling.

#3 Jey Uso to turn heel and betray Cody Rhodes?

Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes have impressed fans with their remarkable chemistry as a duo on RAW. But could the creative team have a massive swerve in store for the top tandem?

During their conversation on Strictly Business, Eric Bischoff and Conrad Thompson delved into the unexpected partnership between Uso and Rhodes. Bischoff drew parallels between Rhodes' unwavering faith in Jey Uso and the classic narrative of Sting placing his trust in Ric Flair, only to be betrayed by The Nature Boy.

''I got to assume that is where they are heading with Cody. Now he has got someone he knew, liked, and trusted, and he turns on him, and we get that match, and then we level our way back to the big boss,'' said Conrad Thompson. (1:09:22 - 1:09:34)

Eric Bischoff agreed and said, ''That's what I am feeling at this point.'' The American Nightmare was instrumental in bringing Main Event Uso to RAW. The two even won tag team gold together but lost it to The Judgment Day due to Jimmy Uso's interference.

#2 Former WWE Tag Team Champion has officially signed with TNA/IMPACT Wrestling

TNA/IMPACT Wrestling has officially confirmed that they have signed PCO to a new deal. However, the specific details of the contract remain unclear.

PCO's previous deal with the organization was scheduled to conclude on October 30, 2023. The veteran was rumored not to re-sign with TNA/IMPACT Wrestling, but the promotion's impending rebranding seemingly changed his mind.

“I really wanted to be part of the new era of TNA Wrestling and Scott D’Amore made me an offer I could not refuse,” PCO said.

IMPACT Wrestling will officially go back to being called TNA in 2024. PCO has become one of the first signings of this new era, per a press release by the company. The veteran was a part of The Amazing French Canadians in WWE and held the tag title thrice.

#1 Konnan believes CM Punk should return to WWE

On the latest installment of the Keepin' It 100 podcast, WCW legend Konnan expressed his opinion on CM Punk. He mentioned that the former WWE Champion never failed to generate excitement whenever his name was brought up in pro wrestling. He added that Punk could be a major signing for the Stamford-based company.

"Bro, this is a great chance. You're going to Chicago. I know you're hot, but why not have another hot storyline (...) they've got to see the traction that Punk creates. Look at the traction he creates when we talk about him, and so he creates traction. He's got a story. I gotta think they want to use him, but you know, we'll see," Konnan said. (2:53 - 3:15)

WWE dropped subtle references to CM Punk during Seth Rollins' feud with Shinsuke Nakamura. While Rollins called himself the 'best in the world,' Corey Graves seemingly gave a nod to his memorable ROH promo while hyping The Visionary's rivalry with Nakamura. It will be interesting to see if The Second City will return to his old stomping grounds.
