WWE News Roundup: Top superstar sends an emotional message after leaving the company, AJ Styles spotted, Brock Lesnar namedropped on AEW show
We are back with another edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's WWE News Roundup. The series covers all the interesting and top news stories of the day in the world of the pro wrestling juggernaut.
Today, we will look at topics about AJ Styles and Brock Lesnar in addition to checking out a message from a star who recently departed the company.
Furthermore, we will also check out a topic from the recently released Vince McMahon documentary, where the 79-year-old talked about his father. So without any delay, let's begin:
#4. Vince McMahon reminisces about his late father
Vince McMahon's documentary was recently released on Netflix in which the former WWE Chairman talked about multiple topics, including his father. The 79-year-old also revealed what his father said to him the day before he died.
The day before he died was the only time that he told me that he loved me. But, wow! He told me. Before he died. God, it felt so good," he said.
Vince McMahon also denied the allegations former WWE referee Rita Chatterton made against him. You can read more about it by clicking here.
#3. AJ Styles spotted with AEW star amid WWE hiatus
AJ Styles has been away from WWE TV since his loss to Cody Rhodes at Clash at the Castle in June 2024. While The Phenomenal One has competed in several live events during the promotion's overseas tours, there is still no word on when he will return to TV.
Amid his on-screen hiatus, the former WWE Champion was recently spotted with AEW star Kamille. The duo, along with a few other celebrities, joined hands to raise money for veterans in a softball charity match.
Kamille recently joined AEW and currently serves as Mercedes Moné's muscle. She has competed in just a handful of matches in the company.
#2. Bobby Lashley sends a message after leaving WWE
Bobby Lashley officially departed the Sports Entertainment juggernaut last month, as he was moved to the Alumni section of the company's website. Lashley's contract with the promotion reportedly expired on August 16, 2024.
Amid all the uncertainty about his future, The All Mighty shared a motivational message on his Instagram Stories. Lashley's post also hinted at potential big things for his future.
''Sometimes things end up going wrong to get you right. Trust the process!'' he wrote.
#1. Brock Lesnar namedropped on an AEW show
Brock Lesnar has not been seen in action since his match against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam last year. While there is still no update on The Beast Incarnate's potential return, he was recently namedropped on Hey! (EW), a YouTube exclusive show produced by All Elite Wrestling.
Mason (FKA Mace) was present on the show, where he talked about the time he worked with Paul Heyman's former client on RAW in 2019. The Beast delivered an F5 to the erstwhile Mace, who was a part of the commentary team at the time.
