WWE News Roundup: Triple H confirms top superstar is injured, Gunther invites legend to join the Imperium, CM Punk on Roman Reigns' rise
Welcome to the post-Survivor Series WWE News Roundup. In today's edition, we will look at major developments that took place at the recently concluded premium live event in addition to covering topics around Gunther and Roman Reigns.
Multiple top names suffered an injury at Survivor Series: WarGames last night. Also, a returning star won his first title in nearly three years. Let's check it all out without any further delay.
#4. Multiple stars suffered injury at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames
There are concerns about multiple top names potentially suffering an injury at the recently concluded premium live event. Sheamus was busted open during his Intercontinental Championship match against Ludwig Kaiser and Bron Breakker after which Michael Cole expressed his concern about The Celtic Warrior.
Bronson Reed and Jey Uso also suffered injuries, with the former possibly hurting one or both of his ankles while the OG Bloodline member reportedly injured his toe.
Triple H confirmed the rumors about Reed's injury. He stated that the powerhouse could miss a few weeks of in-ring action after the table spot that saw him attempt a Tsunami from the top of the cage.
#3. Shinsuke Nakamura wins his first title in WWE in nearly three years
Shinsuke Nakamura recently made his return to WWE programming upon which he went after the United States Champion LA Knight. The Japanese star was successful in his first title opportunity since his return as he defeated The Megastar to win the US Title at Survivor Series: WarGames.
This was Nakamura's first title win in the company in nearly three years. He last won a championship in August 2021 when he won the Intercontinental Championship.
#2. CM Punk refuses to comment on Roman Reigns
Despite their differences, CM Punk and Roman Reigns joined forces at Survivor Series: WarGames to defeat the new Bloodline. While the two men worked well together for most of the match, it seems like there are still issues between the two as The Best in the World refused to comment on the OTC's rise to the top in the post-show press conference.
"No comment," Punk said.
Punk also now has a favor in the bank from Paul Heyman as he helped the OG Bloodline in their battle against Solo Sikoa's group.
#1. Gunther wants legend to join the Imperium
The Imperium is no longer the group it was since Giovanni Vinci was ousted from the stable. However, Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser seem to have a new member in sight as The Ring General extended an invitation to Wade Barrett to join their ranks.
"We talked about that before around here. Ludwig and I are both under the assumption that Wade would be a very fitting member," Gunther said.
Barrett has been away from the squared circle for nearly eight years now. He is currently a color commentator in WWE, part of the company's RAW commentary team.
