WWE News: Women's Royal Rumble betting odds reflects interesting playing field

This match could be something amazing

What's the story?

The WWE Royal Rumble event is coming up before we know it and the betting odds for the Women's Royal Rumble match are already out. There are some interesting numbers indeed in the odds but overall, Asuka is the leader by a mile.

In case you didn't know...

With the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble being 30 competitors which are roughly ten more than the number of women on the actual main roster, plenty of people are under the assumption that there will be some surprises.

Many names have floated around about a possible surprise from Ronda Rousey to any number of women from the past. But these betting odds could tip a hat to some of the most likely surprises if there are any.

The heart of the matter

Asuka as the huge frontrunner shouldn't be that big of a surprise, but Ronda Rousey's appearance at second most likely does raise some eyebrows. After all, there was some thought she wouldn't be able to make the Royal Rumble pay-per-view due to other obligations for an upcoming movie she has in the pipeline.

AJ Lee also makes the list as well which is odd considering her husband CM Punk's rocky relationship with WWE. Albeit AJ Lee's odds at 25/1 aren't good, but they're the same as Natalya, Brie Bella, Beth Phoenix, Trish Stratus, and Lita.

What's next?

The first-ever Women's Royal Rumble is going to be a huge treat for anyone who gets to watch this amazing event and even more special for the women involved. Hopefully, whoever comes out the winner of this event will realize and appreciate the great honor it is to be given the outstanding distinction of being the first to win this match for the women.

Author's take

Better odds aren't a look into WWE Creative's minds, but it is a good indication of how people might be thinking. So take this with a grain of salt, but it would be great to see AJ Lee come back to WWE for one night and soak up all the adoration she's deserved. We've all missed her special brand of crazy, that's for sure.
