From the WWE Rumor Mill: Rumor killer on ‘leaked’ image for Elimination Chamber 2018
What's the story?
As reported by Cageside Seats, the Universal title match at the Elimination Chamber PPV showing Braun Strowman as the Universal champion is a fake and a fan-made poster.
In case you didn't know...
The WWE RAW exclusive pay-per-view Elimination Chamber is scheduled for February 25th in Las Vegas. There has been an image circulating around the internet showing the main event of PPV being Finn Balor, Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, Cesaro and the returning Big Cass in an Elimination Chamber match.
The image also shows Braun Strowman as the Universal Champion.
The heart of the matter
As reported by Wrestlezone, the original image is actually from a YouTube video featuring ‘Elimination Chamber fantasy matchups’, and it was photoshopped to make it look like a broadcast TV screenshot.
The image cannot be true since Brock losing his title before WrestleMania is almost impossible at this stage.
What's next?
The Beast Incarnate is going to defend his Universal Championship against Braun Strowman and Kane at the upcoming Royal Rumble.
It is almost certain that he would still be the Universal champion after the Rumble to headline WrestleMania 34 against Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship match.
Author's take
Though the match included some big names, it will not happen for sure. A Smackdown Live superstar is being rumoured as the potential winner for the Royal Rumble which means RAW exclusive PPV will most probably determine the No. 1 contender for the Universal Championship match inside the Elimination Chamber as Brock Lesnar is not scheduled for the PPV as of yet.
