A WWE Hall of Famer recently also opened up about claims that he despises Triple H. Today's roundup of the top stories concludes with Rikishi revealing what he wants to see Jimmy Uso do in the near future.

The day that went by kicked off with news of the unexpected exits of Baron Corbin, Tegan Nox, and Indi Hartwell.

Fightful reported that while Corbin's deal had ended and it wasn't renewed, the promotion had released Nox and Hartwell, with both set to have 90-day non-compete clauses.

Sources close to the situation stated that Corbin was informed his contract, which runs through the end of the year, won't be extended.

Multiple pro wrestling bookers instantly expressed interest in working with Corbin and hoped he would still stay in the business.

Regarding Tegan Nox's release, it was stated she was never really factored into any extended creative plans. The departure of Indi Hartwell was the most shocking of the lot as she was still being featured on WWE TV.

The outgoing superstars have already commented on their futures and it would be interesting to see how they navigate a stacked free-agent market.

#2. Jim Ross sets the record straight about allegedly 'hating' Triple H

He might be at the end of his commentary career but for many, Jim Ross is still the voice of wrestling who spent several years in WWE.

The AEW announcer regularly shares his views on the current wrestling product on his podcast and Triple H's name was mentioned during a recent episode.

Back when JR was the lead play-by-play commentator in WWE, he did his best to make the heels look even more evil and his calls for Triple H inarguably helped make The Game's character better.

Ross revealed that some people still mistakenly believe he has some animosity against The Cerebral Assasin. JR explained his intentions behind establishing the Triple H gimmick and how it was his job:

"I went on a vendetta [as a television character] about him and tried to make him a bigger heel than he was," Ross stated. "There's still people to this very day think that I hate Triple H and he hates me and all that stuff. It's pro wrestling. Our job is to get talent over and to establish their persona, and I thought we did a nice job of establishing Triple H's persona that followed his lead on how all that stuff worked out." Triple H's days as a wrestler are well behind him as these days, he is one of the most powerful men in all of wrestling as WWE's Chief Content Officer.

#3. Rikishi is looking forward to seeing Jimmy Uso embark on a singles run

Jimmy Uso has played an important role in getting Roman Reigns and Jey Uso back together before their Crown Jewel match against Solo Sikoa's Bloodline.

The storyline is advancing rapidly on TV and during a recent episode of his podcast, Rikishi expressed his happiness over seeing The Usos' reunion with The OTC.

Rikishi spoke about Jimmy Uso's resurgence and felt that his son deserved to be a singles superstar, similar to Jey Uso and Roman Reigns. Rikishi himself went solo in his career and wanted Jimmy to also experience it and potentially write another successful chapter in his career.

"At the end of the day, okay, I got my fix on growing as a single rwrestler, and Jey has gotten that. Jimmy hasn’t gotten that in my book yet, and I look forward to the day when they’re both about ready to hang it up and retire, I look forward to seeing Jimmy have a single run, just so he can experience what that is, to be able to get out there as a pro wrestler by himself, and to be able to carve his own footstep as a single performer." While Rikishi believed Jimmy Uso had nothing left to achieve as a tag team or faction member, he might have one final assignment - taking Solo Sikoa's group down - before possibly realizing a dream of being a singles WWE Superstar.
