WWE News & Rumor Roundup: Disappointing update on Roman Reigns's future, Multiple top names injured, Dominik Mysterio squashed
Welcome back to another edition of the WWE News and Rumor Roundup where we attempt to cover all the top stories making rounds in the world of the pro wrestling juggernaut. In today's piece, we will look at topics revolving around Roman Reigns and Triple H, among others.
We will also check out the results from Friday Night SmackDown where injuries to multiple top names were confirmed. So without any further ado, let's begin:
#1. WWE SmackDown results
We saw the fallout from Survivor Series: WarGames on this week's SmackDown as The Bloodline took out Andrade and LA Knight before voicing their frustration. The suspense around Jade Cargill's mystery attacker continued to build while The Street Profits were the latest victims of a backstage attack.
Here are the complete results from the show:
- Tiffany Stratton def. Elektra Lopez & Naomi
- Bianca Belair def. Piper Niven
- DIY def. Motor City Machine Guns to become the new Tag Team Champions
- Cody Rhodes def. Chad Gable
#2. WWE confirms injuries to Bronson Reed, Jimmy Uso, and Tonga Loa
WarGames is one of the most brutal matches in pro wrestling. Three superstars suffered an injury in this year's Men's WarGames match as WWE confirmed on SmackDown that Bronson Reed, Jimmy Uso, and Tonga Loa are hurt and will be out of action indefinitely.
While Reed suffered a broken toe, Jimmy hurt his ankle during the match. Tonga Loa, meanwhile, tore his bicep while competing against the OG Bloodline.
#3. Disappointing update on Roman Reigns' future
Roman Reigns has been working a part-time schedule over the last couple of years. While The OTC was quite active during the build-up for Survivor Series: WarGames, it seems like he could go on a hiatus once again as he was not present on SmackDown this week. Reigns is also no longer advertised for Saturday Night's Main Event.
It seems like the feud between the OG Bloodline and the new Bloodline could be over as Solo Sikoa and the others targeted LA Knight and Andrade on SmackDown. None of the OG Bloodline members were present on the blue brand.
#4. Dominik Mysterio squashed after WWE SmackDown went off the air
Dominik Mysterio competed in a dark match after SmackDown went off the air. The Judgment Day star took on Bron Breakker in singles action. However, Dirty Dom was no match for the Intercontinental Champion as he suffered a loss in 67 seconds.
Dirty Dom also made an on-screen appearance on the blue brand where he was seen talking to Nick Aldis. It is likely that The Judgment Day could move to SmackDown as part of the transfer window.
