In one of the top stories of the day, a former champion has provided a disheartening update on his status. Also, a female star suffered an embarrassing botch before her match at a recent live event. So sit tight and read until the end to know all developments in WWE in the last 24 hours:
#5. WWE RAW results
Things are spicing up on the red brand as we inch closer to Crown Jewel. Multiple SmackDown stars were present on the show that was taped last week to build up their matches at the upcoming premium live event.
Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax made their presence felt as they laid out Women's World Champion Liv Morgan. Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes and Gunther had a verbal war ahead of their Champion vs. Champion match in Saudi Arabia. The show also featured the return of the War Raiders (FKA The Viking Raiders).
Here are the complete results from the show:
- Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill def. Damage CTRL (IYO SKY & Kairi Sane) to retain the Women’s Tag Team Championship
- The War Raiders def. Alpha Academy
- Bron Breakker def. Kofi Kingston
- R-Truth def. The Miz
- Rhea Ripley & Tiffany Stratton vs. Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez ends in a No Contest.
#4. Tiffany Stratton suffers a botch at WWE Liverpool
The WWE roster is currently on a tour of the United Kingdom. Top stars from RAW and SmackDown stopped over in Liverpool on Monday for a house show. Tiffany Stratton, who faced Naomi at the show, suffered an embarrassing botch ahead of the match as she slipped on the ring apron during her entrance.
The night did not get better for the 2024 Ms. Money in the Bank as she suffered a defeat against Naomi.
#3. Brock Lesnar referenced on RAW
Brock Lesnar has been away from WWE programming since SummerSlam 2023. The Beast Incarnate was seemingly referenced in Janel Grant's lawsuit against Vince McMahon, after which his return plans were nixed and the company distanced itself from the former Universal Champion.
However, Brock was referenced twice on RAW last night. Cody Rhodes talked about his victory over The Beast Incarnate at SummerSlam 2023 during his promo, while Seth mentioned being known as the Beast Slayer after he defeated the former UFC star.
#2. Worrisome update on AJ Styles
AJ Styles recently made his return to TV programming after months of absence. However, The Phenomenal One suffered an injury in his first match back, leaving fans disheartened.
While there were speculations that AJ's injury was just a work, the former WWE Champion himself clarified on X that he has a Lisfranc injury, adding that he's "cooked!"
AJ Styles is in the twilight of his career and does not have many years left in him. A Lisfranc injury could further shorten his career, and the news about the same has left fans disheartened.
#1. Plans for Randy Orton vs. Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens embraced his villainous side recently as he turned on Cody Rhodes after Bad Blood went off-air. However, things got worse on last week's SmackDown, as The Prizefighter also raised his hands on Randy Orton.
KO and The Viper exchanged blows earlier in the show but were stopped by the security. However, Owens later attacked Randy backstage.
Meanwhile, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio has noted that the former on-screen friends could get a chance to settle their differences inside the squared circle, with WWE seemingly planning a match between them at Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14.
