WWE News & Rumor Roundup: Major name to return and be involved with the Wyatt Sicks? Rising star wants to face The Rock, Veteran on Brock Lesnar
Welcome to another edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's News and Rumor Roundup, where we try to cover all the exciting stories making the rounds in the WWE Universe. In today's piece, we will look at topics about Brock Lesnar and The Rock, among others.
Also, a major return was teased on RAW this week, with a program with the Wyatt Sicks looking likely. So without further ado, let's begin:
#4. WWE RAW results
We are just a few days away from Bad Blood, and the feuds are heating up ahead of the company's upcoming Premium Live Event. Last night, Drew McIntyre addressed his upcoming Hell in a Cell Match against CM Punk, while Rhea Ripley revealed the stipulation for her match against Liv Morgan.
The rivalry between Sami Zayn and Gunther also progressed, with The Ring General once again refusing to fight the former Bloodline member. Meanwhile, Sami's close friend Jey Uso became the new Intercontinental Champion.
Here are the complete results from the show:
- Sami Zayn def. Ludwig Kaiser
- Dragon Lee def. Carlito
- Damage CTRL def. The Unholy Union
- The Creed Brothers def. The New Day
- Jey Uso def. Bron Breakker to become the new Intercontinental Champion
#3. Alexa Bliss' return teased on RAW
Alexa Bliss has been away from WWE programming since January 2023. However, her return was teased on RAW last night, as Bliss' old doll Lilly was spotted in the background during a backstage segment involving Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio.
Lilly's presence almost confirms that Alexa will be returning with her dark persona and is likely to be involved with the Wyatt Sicks.
Alexa Bliss was haunted by Uncle Howdy during her last run on RAW. With the ominous character leading the Wyatt Sicks, a program with the faction is likely to be Little Miss Bliss' direction upon her potential return.
#2. Veteran namedrops Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar was last seen in WWE at SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare has come a long way since then and is currently the Undisputed WWE Champion.
However, one of Cody's recent wins raised doubts in the mind of former WWE writer Vince Russo. The veteran was not impressed with the champion using multiple Cross Rhodes to put away Solo Sikoa in the recent Steel Cage Match. Russo also talked about Brock Lesnar while dissing The American Nightmare in the recent edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's BroDown on Backstage Pass.
"I said the other day, man, I'm watching Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa. Bro, you need four Cross Rhodes to beat this guy? So what if Brock Lesnar comes back? Are you [Cody] going to need eight? I was talking about that, Mac; there is no such thing as a finishing move anymore. You can't beat a guy anymore with one freaking move. That is gone, bro," Russo said.
#1. Rising star wants to face The Rock
The Rock is widely considered one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time. The Great One is a dream opponent of many. In a recent interaction with Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, reigning NXT Champion Ethan Page expressed his desire to lock horns with The Final Boss inside the squared circle.
"The Rock is obviously numero uno. I don't know how many more matches he plans on having. I don't know how many Egos Edges he has left in his career," he said.
Meanwhile, The Rock has been absent from WWE TV since April 2024. It will be interesting to see if The People's Champion returns to television in the coming months.
