WWE News & Rumor Roundup: Probable winner of the men's MITB match, Seth Rollins to regain the World Championship because of top star? Andrade's return

Greetings and welcome to yet another edition of Sportskeeda Wrestling's WWE News Roundup. Today, we will cover some exciting topics related to top names like former WWE Champion Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, and Damian Priest.

Damian Priest is set to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank. The stipulation of the match states that Priest will leave The Judgement Day if he loses and if Rollins loses he will never challenge for the title till Priest is champion. With the trouble brewing within the faction, there is a lot of speculation on what might happen. Apart from that, we will also take a look at who the favorite is to win the MITB contract.

#1. Potential spoiler on who will win the 2024 Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match

The Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match will feature six competitors, split evenly between RAW and SmackDown. Representing RAW will be Drew McIntyre, Chad Gable, and Jey Uso. On behalf of SmackDown, Carmelo Hayes, LA Knight, and Andrade will compete in the high-stakes event.

Despite the stacked match, it appears that the only former WWE Champion in the mix, Drew McIntyre, is the man who will walk out as Mr. MITB. Betting odds favor McIntyre as the winner at -250. McIntyre was about to win the World Championship at Clash at the Castle but CM Punk's interference cost him the shot. The Scottish Warrior could finally achieve his goal of becoming a World champion again by winning the Money in the Bank contract.

#2. Andrade reveals why he returned to WWE

Andrade secured his spot in the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match by defeating Kevin Owens and Grayson Waller. In a backstage interview after his victory on Friday night, the former NXT Champion expressed his excitement, stating that he felt great. He emphasized that he is just one win away from a title shot and reaffirmed that his return to the company is driven by his desire to win.

"I am tranquilo. I feel happy, I feel great. I am here to win. That is why I am back in WWE, to win. One more victory and I will have my opportunity for the championship. One more, see you Monday night," he said.

Andrade was released by WWE and was one of the superstars who went to AEW. After a mediocre run in the Jacksonville-based company, he left in 2023 following a loss to Miro and returned to WWE. Since returning, Andrade has won the Speed Championship.

#3. Seth Rollins to regain the World Heavyweight Championship at MITB?

The Visionary Seth Rollins lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40. Damian Priest quickly cashed in his MITB contract and left McIntyre empty-handed.

However, on July 7th, 2024, Rollins will get a shot at Priest. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer stated that Liv Morgan could manipulate The Judgement Day into turning on Priest, costing him the match.

''Of course the idea that Liv Morgan can manipulate the group to turn on Priest and cost him the match is viable with the current direction.'' said Meltzer

If Priest loses, he would have to leave The Judgement Day. Meltzer also stated that Priest has been acting as a babyface and a split between the group seems on the horizon. Liv Morgan has been interfering in The Judgement Day's business and already has Finn Balor and JD McDonagh develop a soft corner for her.
