WWE News & Rumor Roundup: RAW star has suffered an injury and will be out of action for 6 months, Rhea Ripley provides update, Jey Uso reacts to win
Welcome to the September 10 edition of WWE News and Rumor Roundup. Today, we will be discussing news stories revolving around Rhea Ripley and Jey Uso, among others.
Also, in one of the most interesting updates, a RAW Superstar has been removed from the active roster due to an injury and is expected to be out for nearly six months. So without further ado, let's begin:
#4. Jey Uso sends a message after a major win on WWE RAW
Jey Uso moved a step closer to his first singles title win as he won the Fatal Four-Way Match on last night's RAW to become the number-one contender for Bron Breakker's Intercontinental Championship.
While Breakker has been very dominant since his main roster debut, the former Bloodline member sounded confident of his chances in the post-match interview.
"I’m so ready. I’m so ready, Uce. I’m ready to do it for the WWE Universe, for myself, for my family, [and to] really prove myself, Uce. Almost been a whole year since I was on Raw, since I left The Bloodline and started my journey, Uce. We gonna get there," he said.
Jey Uso is also involved in the ongoing storyline between the Terror Twins and The Judgment Day. The YEET Master even saved Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest from an attack from the heel faction last night.
#3. Rhea Ripley provides an update on her status
Rhea Ripley has been walking around in crutches since getting attacked by Liv Morgan on RAW last week. The injury worsened on last night's RAW as The Judgment Day beat down The Terror Twins with Mami's crutch. It was later revealed that The Nightmare and The Archer of Infamy were rushed to a local medical facility.
The Eradicator provided an update on her status on Instagram, noting that she was tired and sore. However, the Australian acknowledged that she was grateful to be home.
#2. Kiana James injured
Kiana James was drafted to RAW earlier this year. However, the star has made very few appearances on the red brand. She was recently removed from the active roster, sparking a roar on social media.
However, it was later reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that James had suffered an injury and would be out of action for up to six months and was thus moved to the misc section on the WWE roster.
#1. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is ranked number one in the 2024 PWI 500 list
Pro Wrestling Illustrated revealed its list of the top 500 wrestlers for the year 2024. The list is topped by none other than Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. The American Nightmare ended Roman Reigns' 1316-day title reign at WrestleMania 40 and forever inked his name in the history books.
AEW's Swerve Strickland is number two on the list, with Will Ospreay being a close third.
