WWE News: Rusev debuts new look at WWE live event
What's the story?
Fans in Buenos Aires got a real surprise when Rusev came out and debuted a new look in the process. Fans had to do a double-take to make sure The Usos didn't become triplets.
In case you didn't know...
Since the beginning of the pro wrestling business, entertainers have needed to switch up their looks in order to keep their characters fresh.
Rusev has gone through a string of transformations through the years. When he first debuted, The Bulgarian Brute didn't wear wrestling boots but that all changed after he broke his foot in 2015.
But other than that small alteration and a couple haircuts, Rusev's character hasn't really changed much.
The heart of the matter
The Usos have been holding down the Uso Penitentiary on SmackDown Live but when WWE's Blue Team headed to South America they needed a third man. This is where Rusev came into play.
Rusev walked to the ring looking more like an Uso and less like a Bulgarian Brute. Say what you want about Rusev's new look, we think we crushed it.
What's next?
If WWE keeps this trio together it might make perfect sense if The New Day is going to come back at Jimmy and Jey's SmackDown Tag Team Titles down the line.
It also might be interesting to keep these three together just in case WWE ever feels the need to introduce some kind of "trios title."
But odds are this was just something special for the Buenos Aires crowd. It was still pretty great though. After all, Rusev and Randy Orton don't seem to be done with each other yet.
Author's take
The Usos and Rusev look pretty good standing next to each other. Especially if Rusev looks like he's been down since "Day One Ish."
This kind of thing just proves what kind of a fun personality Rusev has in real life and how much these Superstars enjoy their time touring the globe together.
