WWE News: Ryback goes under the knife for long overdue surgery
The first signs of life from what used to be an unmissable part of the WWE’s landscape; former Intercontinental Champion Ryback tweeted yesterday that he had successful surgery for his ears, nose and throat:
“The Big Guy” has been off WWE programming since the beginning of May after he left RAW mid-show following a contract dispute. Ryback’s disaffection with his booking was evident in an interview with a radio host after WrestleMania, where he hinted that he might soon take his talents to a place where they are better appreciated.
It was reported that the WWE and Ryback didn’t see eye-to-eye when it came to the monetary aspect of his contract, and it is becoming more and more obvious that the former WWE Championship challenger will remain off TV until his contract ends.
Ryback posted a message on social media following the incident that was more a jeremiad than a diatribe. The open letter spoke about how frustrated he had become with his booking despite throwing himself on barbed wire for younger talent, and the possibility that his run with the WWE was most likely over.
