Sami Zayn's WWE career will be on the line at Clash of the Champions

What's the story?

WWE recently posted a clip on their official Twitter handle, where WWE Smackdown Live Superstar Sami Zayn was seen cutting a promo on the backstage area of an arena. During the promo, Zayn decided to send a warning to current Smackdown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan.

In case you didn't know...

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have been punished on a regular basis by the Smackdown Live authority figures for their interference in the main event of Survivor Series.

At the upcoming Clash of the Champions pay-per-view, the two men will have the toughest challenge of their careers so far as they are all set to take on the team of Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura at the TD Career in a match where their [Owens and Zayn's] WWE careers will be on the line.

It was announced by Shane McMahon last week on Smackdown that if Zayn and Owens lose the tag team bout, come December 17th, they will indeed be fired from the WWE.

The heart of the matter

During Zayn's recently released promo, the former NXT Champion stated that last week on Smackdown was just another week where he and his tag partner Kevin Owens were victimized for "fighting the good fight".

Zayn then went on to address Smackdown commissioner Shane McMahon by saying that the 47-year-old had made the situation personal by making himself the referee in a match where both Zayn and Owens' WWE careers would be on the line.

Additionally, Sami Zayn stated that he and Owens are not going anywhere and will be sticking to their cause and plans, which is to bring down the reign of Shane McMahon.

The 33-year-old then asked General Manager Daniel Bryan to fix the mess and be the voice of the reason, and it was also added by Zayn that if Bryan doesn't fix the situation then things will get a lot worse before they get better.

What's next?

Like stated before, Zayn and Owens will have the toughest challenge of their careers so far, when they faceoff against Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura at this year's Clash of the Champions PPV in Boston, Massachusetts. Zayn and Owens will give their all in order to pick up the win and save their WWE careers.

Author's take

There is absolutely no chance of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens losing at Clash of Champions and I believe that come 17th December they will reign victorious over Nakamura and Orton.
