WWE News: Sami Zayn wishes the WWE Universe a happy Ramadan
One of the major reasons for wrestling’s or more relevantly, the WWE's everlasting popularity is the fact that it transcends borders. Sports or entertainment successful in particular countries don’t always find as big a following in others.
It’s no mean feat to be able to cater to such a mountainous audience, but the WWE, to a large extent, seems to have gotten the formula right (all things considered). And they continue to evolve with the moves they make, whether it’s the WWE Network, the Live Events or even the variety of performers.
Years ago, if you took a guess on the “type” of wrestlers you’d find beyond the doors of the WWE, you’d be right 9 times out of 10. But the company has come a long way since then, striking it rich with high renters like Zayn, gimmick guys like Dean Ambrose and brawlers like Kevin Owens.
Speaking of Sami Zayn, the part-Syrian Superstar took to Twitter to wish WWE fans a happy Ramadan, which began on June 6th :
Ramadan or Ramzan is the 9th month of the Islamic calendar and is observed in honour of the revelation of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad. A whole month of fasting is observed.
