WWE WrestleMania 33 Rumors: Samoa Joe and Erick Rowan could interfere in matches at WrestleMania
What’s the story?
Reports seem to indicate that Samoa Joe and Erick Rowan could interfere in Seth Rollins vs Triple H and Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton respectively.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is a high probability of both superstars making an impact at this year’s Show of Shows despite not being scheduled to compete.
In case you didn’t know...
Samoa Joe was the man responsible for the injury Seth Rollins suffered on an episode of Monday Night Raw on the road to Wrestlemania. Joe made his main roster debut as a supporter of Triple H and helped The Game take out Rollins.
Erick Rowan, on the other hand, has been away from WWE programming for months now due to a real-life injury but is primed for a return. He is expected to join up with Bray Wyatt once again and has been posting cryptic tweets hinting at the same.
You can check out one of his tweets here:
Interference from either of them at WrestleMania wouldn’t be a shock.
The heart of the matter
With Rollins and Joe expected to launch into a feud after Wrestlemania 33, it makes sense to have the Samoan Submission Machine make an appearance on The Grandest Stage of Them All. With all the rumours about him being a part of Triple H’s “New Evolution”, there is further incentive to interfere in the grudge match between The Game and The Architect.

Erick Rowan’s situation is a little less clear. He is almost certainly expected to return to Bray Wyatt’s side but there is also a lot of speculation that he will be involved in a feud with Luke Harper.
The rumoured interference for the WWE Title match between Wyatt and Randy Orton might see interference by both Harper and Rowan to maybe build on that potential feud as well.
What next?
Wrestlemania 33 is just days away so there is absolutely nothing that will give us concrete evidence between today and the April 2. We can speculate all we want, but the only time we will be getting concrete answers is during the matches themselves.
Author’s take
Both interference angles definitely make sense but it might be better to leave the WWE Championship match untouched in order to build up Bray as a worthy champion who can get the job done on his own.
Samoa Joe’s inclusion in the Rollins vs Triple H seems a near certainty; hopefully, it doesn’t mean a loss for Rollins as he needs this victory to bounce back from his recent downturn in fortunes.
