WWE News: Scott Hall says Hulk Hogan will return to WWE
In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, WWE Hall of Famer, Scott Hall, discussed the relationship between WWE and Hulk Hogan. Although he is one of the longest reigning World Champions of all time, WWE doesn’t recognise Hogan as a part of the Hall of Fame anymore.
Hall assures that despite the bitter relation, between Hogan and WWE, the fans will soon witness him inside a WWE ring:
“Yes, Hulk will be back.”
Footage from Hogan’s sex tape, which recorded some racial slurs uttered by him, was made viral last year. As WWE has linked themselves with multiple anti-racism campaigns, they attempted to erase Hulk Hogan from the history of the company.
Scott mentioned that Hogan was associated with WWE for thirty-three years and one bad incident cannot ruin it all.
While discussing the reasons behind Hogan’s remarks, Hall stated that the sex tape incident occurred during a ‘brutal time’ of his life. At that time, the former World Champion was going through a divorce. Furthermore, one of his friends, along with his son, Nick, were involved in a car accident, for which Nick was sentenced to jail.
To add to this, his daughter wanted to pursue a career in hip-hop and Hogan had to support her financially:
“The whole world was coming down to him, and he slipped up. He said the wrong thing.”
The Bad Guy added that he knows Hogan as a kind and generous person, and never witnessed ‘that side’ of the Hulkster. Although he doesn’t approve his racial comment, Hall is certain that Hogan deserves to be a part of WWE:
“If the door is not open for him, it should be.”
It must be noted that there have been talks within WWE, about bringing back the Hulk Hogan. The last time he appeared at a WWE show, was at WrestleMania 31, during the encounter between Triple H and Sting.
