WWE News: Segment announced for Smackdown Live 30th August

Smackdown Live is considered far more conistent of the two shows so far

Smackdown Live has been getting much acclaim from fans and pundits alike, especially since week 2 post draft, and it is still being considered the better of the two shows so far, with most considering the score 4-1 in Smackdown Live’s favor since the draft. And this is definitely understandable, for quite a few reasons.

One of the vital reasons is time. Smackdown Live is a two-hour show, and is much easier to digest, and that leads to simple storytelling. Also, another prominent reason has been the correct utilization of the talent present. After the draft was done, many felt that Smackdown Live had been robbed, especially in the women’s division, where there were only 6 names, plus Raw clearly had the bigger names among the women, and it had the WWE Women’s Championship as well. But from what can be seen, Smackdown Live have been utilizing every woman on the roster so well that that issue has faded with the fans as well.

One of the major talking points has also been the show Talking Smack, which is the post-Smackdown talk show hosted by Renee Young with Daniel Bryan. It has been considered entertaining for several reasons, some of them being Renee Young’s perfect role as a host, Daniel Bryan weighing in on his opinions, speaking to talent being featured on the show, and the fact that the talent are still in character in the show, among more.

Last week on Talking Smack, there was a major buzz created about the fact that Miz retaliated to Bryan’s criticism of him being a “boring wrestler”, and cut what was arguably the best promo of his entire career.  It really blurred the lines between reality and fiction, because it was clear that The Miz meant every word he said, and Bryan stormed off the show as well. It was a great worked shoot for sure that helped generate lot of buzz about Talking Smack.

Now, it seems that Bryan will not take the Miz’ rant on him very lightly. as it was announced by WWE on Raw that the Smackdown Live General Manager will be addressing the comments made by the Intercontinental Champion against him. There is no news as of yet whether this will lead to a major angle, or will simply be addressed and dealt with in that very segment.
