What’s the story?

As noted, on this week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, General Manager Kurt Angle confirmed that the 2018 superstar shake-up will take place next week over the course of both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live.

Following Angle’s massive announcement on Raw, newly crowned WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins opened up about his thoughts on being potentially drafted to the blue brand in the following interview.

In case you didn’t know…

At WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans, “The Architect” Seth Rollins became the newest Grand Slam Champion in WWE when he overcame the odds in a massive triple threat match also featuring The Miz and Finn Balor.

Prior to his IC title win at ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’, Rollins last held a singles title in the WWE back in the year 2015, when he had possession of both the WWE Championship and the United States title aswell.

The heart of the matter

The WWE Superstar Shake-up certainly brings an aura of freshness within the company and seemingly gives us hope of witnessing several brand new alliances and new potential rivalries and dream matches come true.

One of those dream matches that we have now been craving to see for the past few years is a mega-showdown between “The Kingslayer” Seth Rollins and “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles.

Styles and Rollins have previously crossed paths on several occasions in the WWE and on the independent circuit aswell, and following the conclusion of this week’s episode of Raw, “The Architect” himself weighed in on a potential showdown between him and current WWE Champion AJ Styles over on the blue brand, SmackDown Live.

In a backstage interview with Mike Rome, Rollins noted that as of right now, one of his biggest potential dream opponents is non other than “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles, who according to the former is a dream opponent for a lot of superstars in the WWE today.

Furthermore, Rollins also claimed that he is currently looking to capture the World Title (referring to Styles’ WWE Championship) and “The Phenomenal One” is also on the top of Rollins’ list of dream opponents.

What’s next?

The WWE superstar shake-up takes place next week on both Raw and SmackDown Live, and the fans can certainly look forward to a lot of upcoming changes in the WWE.

A match between Rollins and Styles is certainly a dream contest for the entire Pro Wrestling universe and let us hope that at some point down the road we do get to see these men square-off one-on-one in a WWE ring.
