What’s the story?

Following the conclusion of WWE’s flagship event of the year, WrestleMania 34, we now know for the fact that “The Architect” Seth Rollins has now finally added the one missing championship from the eminent list of his achievements as he became the brand new WWE Intercontinental Champion earlier today at WrestleMania 34.

After earning such a historic win at WrestleMania, Rollins has now revealed his thoughts on becoming the newest Grand Slam Champion in the WWE.

In case you didn’t know…

At WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Seth Rollins went into battle in a mega triple threat for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a match also involving Finn Balor and former champion The Miz.

After a lot of back-and-forth between all three men, Rollins eventually overcame the odds at the Superdome and would go on to defeat both Balor and The Miz in order to capture the WWE Intercontinental Title for the first time in his career.

The heart of the matter

Following his historic win at WrestleMania 34, Seth Rollins was involved in a backstage candid interview with WWE journalist Mike Rome.

The latter, while interacting with Rollins, reflected on the fact that “The Kingslayer” has been hugely successful in creating WrestleMania moments year after year for himself, in regards to his wins over Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns at ‘Mania 31 and Triple H at ‘Mania 33.

As noted, Rollins claimed that over the course of these past few years he has been really fortunate enough to display and showcase his abilities at ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’ and to share the stage with two of the best athletes in Finn Balor and The Miz was an absolute honor for him.

In addition, “The Architect” also stated that winning the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania was the icing on the cake for him and Rollins is now certainly proud of the fact that he has finally won what is the most prestigious title in WWE history, the Intercontinental Championship.

What’s next?

It can now be assumed that Seth Rollins is likely to continue his feud with Finn Balor and The Miz—who now owes himself a rematch for the belt—moving forward.

Rollins will now also look to defend the Intercontinental Title at the upcoming co-branded Backlash pay-per-view, which takes place next month.

Author’s take

Seth Rollins is now the final member of The Shield to become a Grand Slam Champion in the WWE and considering the absolute workhorse Rollins is there is certainly no doubt on the fact that “The Kingslayer” will bring a lot of prestige to the already prestigious IC Title.
