What’s the story?

After teaming up with Kurt Angle and fellow Shield member, Dean Ambrose on Sunday’s TLC pay-per-view, Raw Tag Team Champion Seth Rollins took to Twitter and stated that it was an honour to share the ring with Angle.

Rollins, Ambrose, and Angle were also victorious this past weekend in Minneapolis against the team of The Miz, Sheamus, Cesaro, Kane and Braun Strowman in a 5-on-3 TLC match.

In case you didn’t know…

Former six times WWE World Champion Kurt Angle made his historic return to a WWE ring this past Sunday at the Raw exclusive pay-per-view TLC. Angle was an honorary Shield member on the night, as he replaced Roman Reigns, who is suffering from mumps and couldn’t wrestle at TLC. This was the first time since 2006 that Angle wrestled a match inside a WWE ring.

The heart of the matter

Following their brutal match this past week at the Target Center, Seth Rollins earlier today tweeted out from his official Twitter handle and said that it was an honour teaming up Angle.

The Shield member also went on to show his gratitude towards the WWE Hall of Famer and thanked him.

What’s next?

Following his return to the ring this past weekend, the WWE Universe still remains unsure when they will see Angle next in action once again.

However, now that WWE has cleared Angle to wrestle, it is safe to assume that we could see the Olympic gold medalist back in action pretty soon.

As for Seth Rollins, he will continue to team up with Dean Ambrose as one-half of the Raw Tag Team Champions and as a member of the recently reunited Shield.

Rollins and Ambrose’s next challenge will be against Smackdown Live Tag Team Champions The Usos, as the two teams are all set to collide later this year at the Survivor Series event.

Author’s Take

I absolutely loved seeing Kurt Angle back in the ring and seeing him team up with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins was truly spectacular. I hope we can see more of Kurt Angle in the near future and that he returns to the ring once again in 2018.
