WWE News: Seth Rollins reveals whether recent tweet was for Becky Lynch
What's the story?
WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins and WWE Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch recently appeared on the red carpet of the MTV Movie & TV Awards.
Rollins opened up on his recent tweet, confirming that they were in fact geared towards Becky Lynch.
In case you didn't know...
At this year's WrestleMania, Seth Rollins opened the show by defeating Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title in a quick affair. Rollins ended The Beast's reign with the aid of a sneaky low blow and three Curb Stomps.
The night ended with Becky Lynch defeating Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to win the Raw and SmackDown Live Women's Titles. Lynch was later congratulated by none other than Vince McMahon in a rare backstage visual. Another clip showed Seth Rollins in tears on seeing Becky with the two belts.
Soon after, the couple made their relationship public, when Becky revealed the same during a Twitter war with Beth Phoenix. Hours later, Seth Rollins posted an image on Instagram, confirming Becky's comments. WWE has acknowledged the relationship and the fans recently saw Becky confront Seth after Raw went off the air.
The heart of the matter
At the recent MTV Movie & TV Awards, the couple was seen together, with Becky still carrying her title, in what might be an attempt to stay true to her character.
While talking with Hollywood Life, Becky Lynch stated that she is looking forward to where her relationship with Rollins goes. She added that the two of them are stronger together. On being asked about a tweet that Rollins had recently posted, he confirmed to Hollywood Life that the message was in fact geared towards The Man. "Oh yeah! People can look into it any way they want," Rollins stated while smiling at Lynch.
What's next?
It would be interesting to see whether WWE inculcates this real-life relationship into a storyline somewhere down the line, with how the company is openly acknowledging the same.
