WWE News: Shane McMahon reveals who was annoyed by Undertaker’s black eye

Shane McMahon faced The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania 32

What’s the story?

WWE SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon has revealed who was annoyed by the black eye that he gave The Undertaker during the lead-up to their bout at WrestleMania 32, as reported by IWNerd. Shane told the story during an appearance on Stone Cold’s podcast.

In case you didn’t know...

A week prior to their clash at WrestleMania 32, Shane McMahon gave The Undertaker a black eye courtesy of some stiff punches that he administered during their brawl on the go-home Raw for the event.

The heart of the matter

When asked about the black eye that he gave Taker, Shane had the following to say: “I got heat for that from his mom.”

He didn’t go into too much detail about it, but he did go on to say that he offered Taker the chance to hit him back as a measure of revenge. Taker said that he’d eventually get him back, which he did during their actual match at Mania, however, Shane revealed that they had dinner a few months later and laughed about the whole thing.

What’s next?

It seems as if The Undertaker’s illustrious career with the WWE has come to an end, with his loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 supposedly signifying the end of the road.

When it comes to Shane, however, he seems to be quite content in his current role on SmackDown Live with many suspecting that he’ll have yet another Mania match next year in New Orleans.

Author’s Take

This is a fun little story and we urge all of you to listen to Shane’s appearance on Austin’s podcast, because it’s great. It’s always nice to hear little anecdotes about the business and friendships behind the scenes, with Taker and Shane being long time pals despite their on-screen rivalry.
