WWE News: Does Shane's botch mean an early departure?
Admittedly, the excitement that Shane McMahon’s return caused has been on the wane. His “Muay Thai” last week looked like the runt of a litter of T-Rexes trying to shoo away a bunch of chicken-sized scavenger dinosaurs from a carcass.
He could be excused considering the time he’s spent away from wrestling, founding and running a business but the present context is strict. According to allwrestlingnews.com, this past RAW, Shane was supposed to respond to Stephanie’s tirade on last week’s RAW.
Shane-O was supposed to tell Triple H and Stephanie that they better quit the company after he beats the Undertaker at WrestleMania or he’d fire them the next day on RAW. Reports say that the promo was omitted a few hours before the show began, which is very interesting.
Is the WWE trying to cover for Shane’s forgetfulness or is this a way to keep the stakes and ergo the drama, low and not raise the bar too high, giving Shane an easy and quiet out after WrestleMania? Food for thought.
Apparently, this isn’t the first time something’s gone wrong with Shane’s promo. On his first appearance back, he ‘got lost’ during a promo but Vince covered for him.
