WWE News: Shawn Michaels to star in Avengers and Star Wars parody film
It was announced by Variety that Shawn Michaels was cast for the film Avengers of Justice: Farce Wars, a parody of the Marvel franchise’s Avengers and Star Wars. The Heartbreak Kid is cast alongside Amy Smart, Stephen Rannazzisi, and Simon Rex.
The plot of the film is said to be about how “Earth is reeling from one too many superhero and super-villain clashes. These face-offs have led to billions of dollars in damages, and forced heroes with superpowers into hiding.”

It is an interesting direction for The Showstopper to go to. It was heavily rumoured that Michaels was moving to Orlando, Florida to begin working at the WWE Performance Center. Triple H himself openly admitted that he wanted to bring him in, but it all depended on whether Michaels wanted to make the move to Orlando or not.
He did bring HBK in for one of the previous set of tapings to show him how things are done and to perhaps get some of his input as well. However, if Shawn Michaels begins to find success in films, there is no telling whether he will go back to the wrestling business. His heart will naturally always be there. The good thing is that he is one of the few retired wrestlers who has completely kept his word about never wrestling another match.
