WWE News: Shawn Michaels wants The Young Bucks in WWE
What’s the Story?
WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels recently appeared on X-Pac’s podcast, X-Pac 12360, and said that he wants The Young Bucks to come to WWE and get a bigger payday.
In Case You Didn’t Know
The Young Bucks are recognized by many as one of the best tag teams in the world. Despite their athletic abilities, Matt and Nick Jackson have also faced criticism for their overuse of the superkick and their high-flying offense.
The Heart of the Matter
Michaels said that his own encounter with The Young Bucks was brief, but he’s heard great things about them and their reputation as superb wrestlers. The Heartbreak Kid also understood why The Young Bucks wouldn’t want to come to WWE, but still expressed interest in the duo coming to the WWE.
“There are people that think they are making a phenomenal living away from the WWE and I have no doubt that they are but I still hope there comes a day where all these guys will come to the WWE and have the opportunity to do it on a bigger stage.”
Michaels also said that the money The Young Bucks make outside of WWE would be even greater if they came to the company and that seeing them with even more success would is one of his reasons for wanting them to come into the fold.
“I just want the most talented guys that are doing this line of work to be able to do it in a place where they can reap the most rewards.”
What’s Next?
The Young Buck recently made the decision to move from NJPW’s Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Division to the Heavyweight Tag Division, so their next goal will be capturing the IWGP Tag Team Championships from Los Ingobernables de Japon.
Author’s Take
Despite Michaels wishes to see The Young Bucks in WWE, that more than likely won’t happen anytime soon.
The Bucks are making a killing outside the WWE and it is doubtful that they'd be willing to give up that freedom right now.
