WWE News: Shayna Baszler sends out a message to the entire NXT roster
What’s the story?
WWE NXT’s latest signee Shayna Baszler has already made a huge impact for the company ever since making her debut at the Full Sail University, and on 6th January, “The Queen of Spades” decided to send a warning to the entire NXT roster via her Twitter account.
In case you didn’t know…
Mae Young Classic finalist Shayna Baszler made her NXT debut two weeks ago after she attacked and choked out Kairi Sane who was having a confrontation with NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon. Before signing with WWE, Baszler had previously worked with World Wonder Ring Stardom and had also been performing on the Independent scene. The 37-year-old is also good friends with former UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey and is 1/4th of the Four Horsewomen of MMA.
During last year’s Mae Young Classic tournament, Baszler had put on a very dominating performance as she racked up numerous wins against some of the top competitors such as the likes of Mia Yim, Candice LeRae, and Mercedes Martinez.
The heart of the matter
Shayna Baszler is a former MMA veteran who is known for her grappling and Jiu-Jitsu skills and earlier in the week, “The Queen of Spades” decided to show off those skills in a rather controversial manner, when she attacked and choked out NXT rookie Jessica Elaban at the WWE Performance Center.
Following her attack on Elaban, the former AIW Women’s Champion sent out another warning on the NXT roster this time via the social media. Baszler stated in a recent tweet that fans will turn their backs on oneself and forget everything you have done for them, however, the former UFC fighter claims that she isn’t on NXT to play that game anymore and instead she is here to win and it something the NXT universe should get used to.
What’s next?
Shayna Baszler will make her in-ring NXT debut next week against Dakota Kai and the Mae Young Classic finalist will be looking to get off to a winning start in NXT. Baszler now also holds the opportunity to win the NXT Women’s Championship in Philadelphia later this month when she goes one-on-one against current champion Ember Moon.
